About This Cause
International House Philadelphia (IHP) is a nonprofit that supports and builds community for students from around the world who choose to live and study in the Greater Philadelphia area. IHP has been serving international students and scholars in Philadelphia since its inception in 1918. By aiding in the success and integration of this population, we contribute to a diverse, vibrant, and economically secure Greater Philadelphia. From a pastor’s house, to a landmark residential and arts facility, to a virtual organization, IHP has taken many forms over the years but the core of our mission remains the same: to make Philadelphia more welcoming and globally connected.
