About This Cause
In every neighborhood in our county, there are children who are hungry. Parents struggling to make ends meet. Socially isolated elderly and disabled members of our community. Friends struggling to achieve good mental health and or substance free lives. Families working to better their job prospects in order to become financially stable. These issues affect the overall health of our communities and can feel overwhelming. But we can make a difference. United Way of Northern Ozaukee works to improve lives and empower every family to succeed by focusing on Education, Economic Prosperity and Health, the cornerstones of a strong, equitable community. United Way of Northern Ozaukee creates solutions for challenges faced by those in our community. Many organizations focus on one cause, but United Way looks at the community as a whole and in a collaborative effort, creates positive change. United Way, along with community volunteers, identifies specific gaps in services and then seeks partners and funds to develop programs delivering measurable results. This collaborative approach brings the best people, ideas, talents and resources together to tackle complex challenges head-on and create long-lasting positive changes in Ozaukee County. We fight for people who are working hard and falling short – one emergency away from poverty and we fight for seniors and people with disabilities to lead inclusive and independent lives, and we build on family strengths to ensure our children have stimulating home environments for optimal growth and development to live successful lives. We fight for the health, education and financial stability of every person in our community today and for generations to come.
