Mission Statement
We, the men and women of the Needville Fire Department, are committed to saving lives and property in our community. We will provide quality service in partnership with other organizations and members of the community. We strive to attain the highest degree of ethical behavior and professional conduct at all times. We will also provide the community we serve with the utmost proficient firefighters, fire prevention and equipment to do the job.
About This Cause
* We are a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that provides fire, rescue and medical services in the largest territory of Fort Bend County, approximately 174 square miles. * We are made up of about 20 active volunteers, most of whom have full time careers as well. * While our service district is largely rural, major development is exploding in the Needville area with the building of new neighborhood developments, schools and businesses, and the expansion of a major highway going right through our community. This has greatly increased the demand for our services, which in turn has increased our administrative and operational costs. In 2020, our department ran over 860 calls, a 13% increase from the previous year. * We rely mostly on grants and donations and some support from our county and local governments. This is why our fundraising efforts are critical to our survival as a volunteer organization.
