About This Cause

The Japanese Community Youth Council (JCYC), a 501(c)(3) organization headquartered in San Francisco’s historic Japantown, is dedicated to cultivating and enriching the lives of children and youth from diverse, multicultural communities throughout San Francisco and beyond. Established in 1969 by Japanese American youth organizations and others who successfully fought to include Ethnic Studies in college curriculums, JCYC has become San Francisco’s largest provider of youth workforce and development services. Today, JCYC supports 7,000+ children and young people of all backgrounds annually across San Francisco and Daly City, offering a wide range of academic, cultural and social/emotional services through over 14 programs. By donating to JCYC, you are investing in a trusted organization that delivers real results, supporting us as we continue to transform the lives of young people and help them realize their full potential.
