Mission Statement
Our mission is to foster a Higher Level of Care and steward philanthropic support for the community healthcare missions of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word and St. Mary Medical Center. OUR VISION The St. Mary Medical Center Foundation will be a model for healthcare foundations, fostering a Higher Level of Care for all members of the community we serve, and creating lifelong philanthropic partnerships with the many people touched by the missions of the Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word and St Mary Medical Center.
About This Cause
The St. Mary Foundation was founded by the Sisters of Charity in 1970 to raise, administer and distribute funds in support of the mission of the Sisters of Charity and St. Mary Medical Center. The Foundation supports hospital programs, research and education, as well as capital improvements, including equipment purchases. For the past 40 years, the St. Mary Foundation has been a proud recipient of philanthropy from the Long Beach community, securing funds and resources to support St. Mary Medical Center through the following activities: - Annual Fund Appeals - Capital Campaigns - Corporate Giving - Planned Giving - Public & Private Grants - Special Events The St. Mary Foundation is a non-profit corporation as provided under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code. Contributions are tax deductible in accordance with state and federal regulations.
