The Pickens County Humane Society is a nonprofit organization filed under a 501 (c)(3), chartered for the prevention of animal cruelty. The shelter opened in 1972 to provide a refuge for stray and unwanted pets and to eliminate animal suffering and overpopulation through public education.

All pets will be spayed or neutered and have Rabies vaccinations. To provide suitable homes for these animals. To provide educational materials for the public. Pet Food Bank.
