About This Cause
The Rescue Mission of Salt Lake serves homeless and low-income men, women and children in the Salt Lake area. We run a dry emergency shelter, open 24/7, which includes a safe place to sleep for the night, three hot meals every day, showers, clothing, laundry facilities and employment counseling. We also offer a year-long addiction recovery program and transitional housing. While we actively partner with the court system and corrections department in providing treatment to individuals who would otherwise be incarcerated, we take no state or federal money and rely solely on the generosity of individual and corporate donors to fund our work. All services at the Rescue Mission of Salt Lake are free of charge and open to the public, based upon income.
