About This Cause
Family Paths has been a child abuse prevention and treatment agency for over four decades. Formerly known as Parental Stress Service, we are an agency that works with parents and caregivers to ensure that they are given the tools they need to take care of their own mental health. as well as that of their children. We are proud to say that Family Paths began as a single line crisis hotline and has grown to a staff and volunteer team of well over 100, with offices located in Oakland, Hayward and the Fremont Resource Center. We believe that when a parent is able to take care of themselves, they are better able to nurture their children and create a safe and secure home environment. We believe in meeting clients where they are, which is why we offer services in the home, at schools, and in our community. We are available to families 24 hours a day through our Parental Support Hotline (1.800.829.3777).
