About This Cause
The Center for Prevention & Counseling (CFPC) is a friendly and helpful charitable nonprofit organization that's been making Sussex County, New Jersey, healthier and happier for 50 years. We offer many free programs to help kids, adults, and families stay away from drugs and live their best lives - addiction-free! Our Prevention programs provide a solid foundation for our youth to thrive and become resilient young adults. Our team of educators supports the community with strategies, education, and programs to make healthy life decisions. Counseling is available in an outpatient setting for adolescents and adults with substance use disorders. Our professional Counseling team offers various clinical and non-clinical services, including substance use disorder evaluations, outpatient counseling, intensive outpatient programs, anger management, and psycho-education groups for youth to address coping skills and healthy decision-making. Addiction Recovery support services are open to anyone affected by substance use and can help individuals and families begin to continue on their journeys in recovery. Our team consists of trained recovery coaches, case managers, navigators, and volunteers who provide recovery coaching, group support, meetings, referrals to treatment, sober events, educational and volunteer opportunities, and more. In addition, CFPC operates the Sussex County Recovery Community Center, which provides a safe and supportive space for people seeking help with substance use, those in long-term recovery, and recovery friends and allies. CFPC primarily services Sussex County, New Jersey children, teens, adults, and families, regardless of cultural background, socioeconomic status, age, gender, or sexual orientation. The Center for Prevention & Counseling provides a wellness-focused and inclusive workplace where the staff treats each other respectfully and encourages kindness, meaningful interactions, and collaboration between colleagues.
