Mission Statement
Our mission is to serve as advocates for the students of Booksin Elementary School to enable them to achieve their fullest potential in a stimulating environment through the cooperative interaction of parents, teachers and community.
About This Cause
BESCA (Booksin Elementary School Community Association) is our school's parent-teacher organization. All Booksin families are automatically members. Each year, BESCA raises and spends about $275,000 to fund programs like art, music, resiliency programs, field trips, teacher supports and more—resources not fully funded by San Jose Unified School District. We work closely with Booksin school staff to enrich every student's experience and foster a strong, connected community. Our main fundraiser is the annual Walkathon, and we also rely on parent volunteers to support classrooms and school-wide events throughout the year.
