About This Cause
For the last 50 years, Solid Ground has been guided by a dual purpose: to solve poverty in our communities and in the individual lives of every person we serve. Every step of the way, friends like you have shown compassion and care for the current and future needs of all our neighbors. Today, more people than ever struggle to pay their rent, feed their families, and invest in their children’s future. And yet we’re proud to say that the Solid Ground community continues to rise to the challenge despite its growing scale, providing life-changing support for our neighbors every day. Every time we welcome a family experiencing homelessness into a new apartment, help someone who uses a wheelchair get to a doctor’s appointment, or provide fresh produce for a parent struggling to get their children healthy food, we make a meaningful difference in yet one more life – and open the door for hope, joy, and possibility.
