Mission Statement
The United Way of Franklin County is the leadership and support organization for a network of 18 member agencies. In addition to serving the local community by acting as a central fundraising and volunteer recruitment resource for nonprofit agencies that make a difference in people’s lives… Our Mission is to identify and effectively address community needs by mobilizing businesses, organizations and individuals.
About This Cause
The United Way of Franklin County is the leadership and support organization for a network of 18 member agencies. In addition to serving the local community by acting as a central fundraising and volunteer recruitment resource for nonprofit agencies that make a difference in people’s lives… Our Mission is to identify and effectively address community needs by mobilizing businesses, organizations and individuals. By mobilizing the caring power of community members like you, United Way and our member agencies work together to promote healthy lifestyles, improve local education at all levels and help people achieve financial stability. United Way of Franklin County’s member agencies include the American Red Cross, Big Brothers Big Sisters, CASA, Children’s Mercy Hospital, Communities in Schools, ECKAN, Elizabeth Layton Center, Habitat for Humanity, Hope House, LifeCare Center for Women, Mid-America Nutrition Program, Inc. (Meals on Wheels), Midland Care Hospice, tiny-k Early Intervention (Ottawa/Wellsville Infant Toddler), Ottawa Community Arts Council’s OYAA youth program, Ottawa Recreation Foundation- Summer Camp Program, United Cerebral Palsy, The Willow Domestic Violence Center and The Care Center. In order to ensure the success of the vital member agencies listed above, United Way of Franklin County must raise $180,000 in 2018. Please join us by make a donation today.
