Mission Statement
Planned Parenthood of Western Pennsylvania’s mission is to provide high-quality reproductive health care services, comprehensive sexual education and strategic advocacy.
About This Cause
PPWP provides health care services at five locations and via telehealth: Bridgeville, downtown Pittsburgh (2), Greensburg, and Johnstown. The fees for medical services at Planned Parenthood are provided on a sliding scale so they are accessible regardless of an individual’s ability to pay. In FY24, PPWP provided more than 23,000 total services to patient seeking reproductive health care services. PPWP's Education Department provides comprehensive sexual education services through programs for youth, parents and professionals in a twelve-county area. More than 14,600 people were reached in Allegheny, Beaver, Bedford, Blair, Butler, Cambria, Fayette, Greene, Indiana, Somerset, Washington and Westmoreland counties last year. Planned Parenthood’s four educators lead an extensive variety of programs, addressing more than two-dozen topics relating to health and human sexuality.
