Mission Statement

United Way of Mercer County champions quality programs and services for children and families creating a stronger, healthier community. Through innovative initiatives and committed partner agencies, United Way of Mercer County meets the needs of families, creates opportunities for learning and growth, and leverages resources for our community. Highlights of our impact include: • 1,000+ children and youth participated in quality afterschool and summer enrichment programming. • 7,000 hours of afterschool and summer programming were offered, providing both in-person and virtual options for families. • 2,000+ individuals were connected to vital resources through 2-1-1 • 800+ young children have begun to receive free books monthly through Dolly Parton’s Imagination library. From launching the Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library to helping families struggling during the pandemic to dynamic afterschool programs, the United Way of Mercer County has been able to nurture our children, create opportunities for youth, and strengthen families. Moreover, using the power of your donations, United Way of Mercer County leverages additional resources and opportunities for our region.
