Mission Statement

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy protects and restores exceptional places to provide our region with clean waters and healthy forests, wildlife and natural areas for the benefit of present and future generations. The Conservancy creates green spaces and gardens, contributing to the vitality of our cities and towns, and preserves Fallingwater, a symbol of people living in harmony with nature.

About This Cause

The Western Pennsylvania Conservancy (WPC) enhances the region's quality of life by protecting and restoring exceptional places. A nonprofit conservation organization founded in 1932, WPC helped to establish ten state parks and has conserved over 229,000 acres of natural lands and waterways. The Conservancy owns and operates Fallingwater, the Frank Lloyd Wright house in Mill Run, PA that symbolizes people living in harmony with nature. In addition, WPC enriches our region's cities and towns through more than 130 community gardens and greenspaces that are planted in 20 counties with the help of over 10,000 volunteers. The work of the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy is accomplished through the support of more than 12,500 members. For more information, visit WaterLandLife.org.
