Mission Statement
The Pittsburgh Project seeks to disrupt the systems and dismantle the barriers that keep people from living in healthy communities and believes that hope, education, and relationships are crucial in transforming current realities into a better future. To that end, The Pittsburgh Project is committed to sharing hope, empowering youth, and building community.
About This Cause
Our year-round staff operates a progressive series of afterschool and summer programs for more than 250 urban young people and partners with many organizations to better the community in our Pittsburgh neighborhood. OUR VISION That Pittsburgh will be called a City of Truth, where once again men and women of ripe old age will sit in the streets each with cane in hand because of age, and where the city streets will be filled with boys and girls playing there (adapted from Zechariah 8:4-5).
