About This Cause
Prime Time is an adult day program that provides care to adults in our community while supporting their caregivers and families by not only providing a safe, social, and engaging environment, but also specializing in dementia care and care for adults with cognitive deficits. Originating in 1985 in Bethel Park, PA., we have grown into a five-day-a week program that is licensed by the Pennsylvania Dept. of Aging as a medical social day center. This means we have nursing staff who monitor our participant's physical health along with their mental and social health. Prime Time consist of 2 day centers in one location: one for adults who are more independent and one for adults that need more assistance to participate in our programming. Prime Time is focused on maintaining our participants' functionality and independence as much as possible while providing respite to their caregivers, thus delaying or possibly even avoiding the costly and emotional stress of 24-hour residential settings. While the client is at Prime Time, the caregivers receive the respite time that is beneficial to their physical, social, mental and emotional well-being.
