Mission Statement
To effectively provide necessary home repairs for low-income homeowners living in the southwest PA region.
About This Cause
Throughout the years, Hosanna Industries has striven to face its missional objectives with the resources of faith, diligent work, and vision. To that end, we have had the privilege of delivering help to nearly 4,400 households by way of home repair and rehabilitation. We have learned how to build new homes for the poor in a very affordable and efficient manner, usually within the span of not more than 4 working days and have successfully conducted such Blitz-Building events for approximately 200 households, mostly within our own region, but occasionally in distant locations. We have encouraged, and assisted, and counselled in the establishment of almost 20 small businesses. The mission has also served the needy near and far during times of natural disaster and catastrophe in not fewer than 18 geographical locations. Now in our 33rd year of service, we are grateful to have engaged the wonderful and valuable efforts of more than 156,000 volunteers. Home Repair Program - This ongoing program serves low-income households with necessary repairs in order to provide a safe, habitable and comfortable space in which to live. This program serves single mothers, single elderly, families and those with disabilities; all of which desperately need this service that is free of charge to them. Scattered Site New Construction - This is an intense and condensed form of "Blitz Building" where 60-80 volunteers are led by our expert staff to build a modest home for a low-income family in 4-5 days. Disaster Relief Program - The mission travels to areas of natural disaster to provide charitable construction services to victims of such disasters. Local Pittsburgh region volunteers as well as volunteers from the area of disaster are utilized to uphold and inspire community and caring to those who have lost hope. Hosanna Gibsonia Spiritual & Creativity Program - At Hosanna Gibsonia, the mission focuses upon the development of the right hemisphere of the brain, in its creative capacity, in its imaginative power and in its ability to envision new possibilities that have not yet been actualized. There are areas on the campus which provide peace and quiet for those in need of Spiritual pondering and uplifting. Hosanna Industries primarily serves households in southwest PA, but we have also serve nationally and internationally (once). We serve those who are impoverished and under served, the elderly, disabled, single parents and those facing life crises. We serve where the need is greatest!
