About This Cause
We are a 501(c)3 Non-profit, Community Development Corporation proudly based in Hazelwood neighborhood of the City of Pittsburgh. Our organizational vision is to be a leader in making Hazelwood the city’s most diverse, vibrant, and active neighborhood We achieve our vision by adhering to the following Guiding Principles for Development: • Maintain & grow diversity (economic, ethnic, age, race & orientation) • Affirm a balance of affordability in all development, housing & commercial, for all low wealth families & residents • Build from our strengths (location, markets, assets) • Ensure development & infrastructure should meet the highest possible sustainability & quality of life at a neighborhood scale • Ensure attractive, equitable transportation & mobility choices are part of any development, in order to connect people to jobs, education, goods & other opportunities
