Mission Statement
The name of the corporation is “The Community Center, Inc. of West Fairfield.” It is organized and operated exclusively for the promotion of scientific, athletic, literary, educational, health, wellness and the social welfare of its members as set forth in the charter. We are focused on improving the quality and functions of the community center. We aspire for this important landmark to be what it once was for our community.
About This Cause
Our first goal is to complete a walking trail, and we have acquired approximately two thirds of the estimated project costs. We also aspire to build a pavilion so that we can have a place for gatherings outdoors until we are able to reach our next goal of renovating the building. There are many repairs needed due to substantial neglect and deterioration of the building. The renovation for the building will be a phased approach. We are focusing on replacing the broken windows of the building as well as repairing the roof which will allow us to help protect against further damage.
