GRID Alternatives envisions a rapid, equitable transition to a world powered by renewable energy that benefits everyone.
About This Cause
GRID Alternatives' mission is to build community-powered solutions to advance economic and environmental justice through renewable energy. What we do: GRID Alternatives is a national leader in helping economic and environmental justice communities nationwide get clean, affordable solar power and solar jobs, and our energy access work is lighting up off-grid communities across the globe. We're working to make renewable energy technology and job training accessible to underserved communities. A non-profit solar installer, GRID Alternatives brings together community partners, volunteers, and job-trainees to implement solar power and energy efficiency for low-income families; providing energy cost savings, valuable hands-on solar experience, and a source of clean, local energy that benefits us all. Where we work: GRID Alternatives is has six regional offices throughout California, an office in Denver, CO which serves the state of Colorado, and an office in Washington, D.C. which serves the Mid-Atlantic region, an office in Masaya, Nicaragua and we work in Mexico and Nepal.
