CAAPA's Mission is to help "Bring Color to the Classics!" CAAPA's vision is to help promote opportunities for Black classical musicians and others in the performing arts through arts performances, education, and outreach.
About This Cause
COMMUNITY OUTREACH CAAPA has a variety of educational outreach and performance-based programs for all backgrounds and ages. Opera for Fun Youth Programs Arias at Sea Cruises MasterClass Series Music Scholarships Meet the Composers Sing for Seniors Program The Performance Series ARTS EDUCATION CAAPA offers the MasterClass Series to college and high school level students, emerging and aspiring musicians, as well as the entire community. FREE MasterClass opportunities to work one-on-one with world-renowned African American classical musicians. Mini-Mozart Master Class Opera for Kidz The Opera Tale Figaro Teen Program Handel to Hip Hop Music Festival and more. AUDIENCE DEVELOPMENT CAAPA invites patrons to participate in The Performance Series, which hosts a series of events, concerts, recitals, showcases, and much more, in order to attract diverse backgrounds of all ages and in an effort to help grow audiences, encouraging exposure of African American classical musicians and others. CAAPA often juxtaposes genre, blending unusual venues, refreshment, and performances, while bringing together unique experiences, stimulating all of the senses! PERFORMANCE OPPORTUNITIES CAAPA supports, encourages, and creates Performance Opportunities for Students, Aspiring, Emerging, and Established Musicians, in order to help foster their musical careers goals, dreams, and ambitions.
