Mission Statement
We offer survivors of domestic abuse holistic solutions that minister to their unique emotional, physical, intellectual, and spiritual needs. We support the full spectrum of women touched by domestic violence: those who are in the midst of abuse, those who are working toward healing from past abuse, and those who question if they are experiencing abuse.
About This Cause
As a Christian ministry, Hagar's Sisters uniquely provides domestic violence education and support within the context of a woman's spiritual beliefs. Whether she is a woman of deep faith or a woman who questions if God is real, Hagar's Sisters is a safe place to explore the tough spiritual questions every woman asks in the midst and aftermath of abuse. Support Services for Women offered by Hagar's Sisters include: - Support Group Meetings include large group interactive teaching and small group discussion. The Sisters learn about domestic abuse and about God’s heart for those who have experienced abuse. Our Philosophy and Guidelines describe what can be expected from the group. - One-to-one Mentoring is available to those who regularly attend support group meetings. - Resource Referrals are made to organizations that provide a variety of helpful specialized services. - Safety Planning develops individualized plans to keep the survivor and her children safe Regardless of circumstances, all are warmly welcomed
