Mission Statement
Kay Granger Elementary PTA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to making every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families within our school and community.
About This Cause
Kay Granger Elementary PTA strives to support the educational mission of Kay Granger Elementary, a National School of Character, through free educational enrichment programs, building a bond between home and school, and engaging and informing families within our school and community. We host events throughout the school year to connect our students, parents, staff, and community. Past events have included Winter Fest, Family Dances, Glow Party, Family Movie Nights, Trunk or Treat, Grandparents Day Luncheons, Cocoa Express and the annual Reflections Student Art Contest. We purchase wish list items for our school. Granger teachers and staff can apply to receive items to enrich the educational experience of our students. We’ve funded teacher training, classroom purchases, and more. We build unity and spirit by purchasing items that would otherwise be paid for by Granger families. This includes school t-shirts for every student and graduation gifts for fifth grade students at the end of the school year. We also invite graduating high school seniors back on campus to share their successes with our students. We recognize and reward students through our Cowboy Up Award, which is presented to students at the end of every grading period. We also provide a $2,000 college scholarship to a graduating senior who attended Granger Elementary in the past.
