Mission Statement
Orangutan Outreach’s mission is to protect orangutans in their native habitat while providing care for orphaned and displaced orangutans until they can be returned to their natural environment. We seek to raise funds and promote public awareness of orangutan conservation issues by collaborating with partner organizations around the world.
About This Cause
Orangutan Outreach was created in 2007 in order to help critically endangered orangutans. It works with partners in Borneo and Sumatra to care for orphaned and displaced orangutans, rehabilitate them, release them back into protected areas of forest, regrow rainforest and provide long-term retirement for orangutans who cannot be released back into the wild.
