Mission Statement
Pencils for Kids, Inc. is dedicated to helping children in need in developing countries to attend school and, in doing so, build the foundation for a better future. We partner with other like-minded individuals, organizations and corporate sponsors to fulfill this mission. We believe that, working together, we can transform the world, one child at a time.
About This Cause
Imagine desperately wanting to go to school and not being able to because your family can’t afford to buy you a school uniform, notebooks or even a pencil. Across the globe, millions of families are toiling just to provide shelter and food. Although most of these hard-pressed parents understand the value of education for their children, they simply don’t have the funds for the necessary school supplies. That’s the heartbreaking situation for countless children around the world – which Pencils For Kids, Inc. is working hard to change. Pencils For Kids, Inc.’s mission of providing backpacks filled with school supplies and a school uniform will enable children eager and ready for an education to attend school. Entering our 10th anniversary year, PFK provides our gifts to over 2,500 children in-need in our three destinations; Bali, Myanmar and Thailand. Pencils For Kids, Inc is a 100% volunteer-based non-profit organization based in Los Angeles, with Chapter Boards in New York, San Francisco, Myanmar, Bali and our most recent expansion...London! Pencils For Kids, Inc. is a grass-roots 501c3 non-profit organization.
