At the Bronx Children’s Museum, we nurture the wonder of childhood, fostering curiosity, creativity and a lifelong love for learning through interactive STEAM experiences. We exhibit possibilities, illuminate pathways and celebrate diverse cultures to make the magic of childhood come alive.
About This Cause
Founded in 2006 before launching outreach programs in 2010, Bronx Children's Museum (BxCM) spent more than a decade making educational enrichment accessible in a borough yearning for its very own children's museum. Engaging 175,000 Bronxites, it developed strong community ties and cemented partnerships, offering a mobile bus exhibit (returning in 2026), school/afterschool programming and at public fairs and festivals engagements. This significant achievement set the foundation for our permanent home in the South Bronx, marking a historic milestone for the community. Since opening our building doors in December 2022, the Museum has served nearly 100,000 children and caregivers, reflecting our unwavering commitment to equitable access to education. Despite our successes, the demand for our programs, as evidenced by a 300-school field trip waitlist, signals a call to action—a call to grow, innovate, and serve even more families. updated 9/1/2024
