Mission Statement
Medair is a leading faith-based humanitarian organisation that responds to major crises triggered by natural disasters or conflict. Its mandate is to save lives andrelieve human suffering in some of the world’s most devastated and difficult to reach places. Medair is currently responding to humanitarian crises in Turkey, Syria, Ukraine, Yemen, Somalia, Kenya, Sudan, South Sudan, DR Congo, Madagascar, Jordan, Lebanon and Afghanistan.
About This Cause
In case of an onset emergency Medair will deploy its highly trained global emergency response team to help people that are the most affected by crisis, regardless of race, creed or nationality. Beyond our mandate and mission to saves lives in emergencies, Medair has long standing humanitarian programs in some of the worlds most affected places by poverty and disasters. Our work is sustainable and durable, we are working side by side with the communities to leave a lasting impact. Staff do whatever it takes to bring relief in difficult to reach areas bringing their expertise in health care, nutrition; wash and infrastructure. Medair is well known for its highest professional standards of quality, accountability, and sustainability. Medair follows the Core Humanitarian Standard and sphere Project guidelines. Signatory of the International Committee of the Red Cross Code of Conduct, Medair believes aid should be given to everyone who is in need, and not be used to further a particular political, social, or religious viewpoint. Its first and last considerations are the needs of the people served.
