Mission Statement
Branches is a Christ-centered ministry that facilitates healing and hope for the WHOLE person; mentally, physically, and spiritually. Our dedicated and well-trained staff of both state licensed and pastoral counselors work with couples, individuals, children, and teens.
About This Cause
Branches was founded in 2007 by Dr. Michael Courtney. Dr. Courtney had experienced recovery from personal addiction and wanted to open a counseling center that would make quality counseling affordable and accessible to anyone who needed it - regardless of their ability to pay. Standard fees are well below the standard, and a Scholarship Program based on income is available. Branches will also treat clients at no charge if needed. The Murfreesboro office includes a licensed Family Nurse Practitioner who directs a program for nutritional counseling and weight management. We also have a licensed Physician's Assistant on-site that manages a program for Mental Health Medication Management should that be necessary for someone's journey to freedom and healing. Eligible clients may receive financial assistance for these programs as well. Branches counselors are eager to meet community needs and are frequent speakers at civic functions, schools, churches, retreats, workshops, businesses, and many other gatherings. Branches has expanded to include locations in Wilson County TN, Bedford County TN, and Davidson County TN.
