Mission Statement
Our mission is to make Vickery Meadow a great community and to help its children reach their full potential.
About This Cause
VMYDF is targeted to make a difference in one very low income, highly diverse neighborhood of Dallas by providing evaluated, best practice programs for children and youth of the neighborhood. There are 7500 youth and six schools with which we work. We fund or lead programs in a pipeline from early childhood through college and careers. The signature program is the EAGLE Scholars program that provides college readiness activities for 130 students for six years. Upon completing the program, we provide college scholarship assistance and funds. VMYDF is privately funded.
