Mission Statement
The NRA Freedom Action Foundation is dedicated to providing non-partisan Second Amendment education to all American citizens. Through these efforts, we strive to reach all citizens, regardless of race, religion or socio-economic status with respect to the history and meaning of the Second Amendment.
About This Cause
With each election, Americans go to the polls and make decisions that impact – for better or worse – the future of Freedom in America at the state and national levels. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, in 2008, 71 percent of voting-age citizens were registered to vote. The NRA Freedom Action Foundation wants to make sure that 100 percent of gun owners of voting-age are registered to vote in order to protect our Second Amendment. There can be little doubt that the great support of the American people for the Second Amendment to the U.S. Constitution and pro-Second Amendment policies in the nation’s policymaking bodies could be made even greater with a more robust comprehensive voter registration program. The NRA Freedom Action Foundations’ Trigger the Vote campaign is a national non-partisan voter registration campaign to ensure gun owners across the country are registered to vote.
