Mission Statement
We care about one another as well as our neighbors in needs. We celebrate God’s presence and guidance for our lives as well as the best of our unique Swedish traditions and innovative spirit. We are part of SKUT (Svenska Kyrkan i Utlandet) which has grown from a network of seamen’s churches to light houses and meeting places for young and for old. We care about the needs of Swedes and their families living or working abroad as well as about the welfare of tourists at the time of emergencies. We work closely together with the Norwegian Seaman’s Church, the Swedish Consulate and Chamber of Commerce as well as with all the Swedish and Scandinavian organizations and schools in the Bay Area.
About This Cause
We are part of the Church of Sweden and is a church for all Swedes living in or visiting the Bay Area. We perform church services in Swedish every month as well as baptisms, weddings, funerals and confirmations. We visit the sick and elderly and help people going through crisis and in need of support. We support Swedish culture and uphold Swedish traditions.
