About This Cause
Lighthouse Ministries International is a holistic ministry, which caters to the total man. We believe that man is not only a spiritual being, he is also a physical being in need of material things to aid his complete development. We also believe that the love of Jesus is seen in a practical way when we demonstrate the words of our Lord in Matthew 25:35-36 " For I was hungry, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in: Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me." Some of our outreach programs include: -- The Bread of Life Distribution (BOLD) Pantry Program - providing food for families and low income communities nationally. -- GO Missions & Outreach: clothing, dry/canned goods, educational materials, assistance for homeless and international relief programs. -- The Light Institute For Empowerment (Life College): providing affordable vocational and religious studies, academic programs and training collaborations with colleges. -- Lighthouse Health & Wellness Center: Creating awareness and providing access to health care and medical support for the low insured, uninsured and economically challenged. We have a number of additional Outreach Programs that serve various purposes, populations and projects, e.g. Back to School Supplies Distribution, Sharing Christmas Joy, Thanksgiving Care Basket Distribution, Warm-Another-This-Winter, International Missions Building Projects for Developing Communities, etc. At Lighthouse it is our honor to recognize and serve the needs in our community and provide food, clothing, housing counseling, and benevolence for qualifying residents of Prince George’s County, Montgomery County, Washington, D.C., and Virginia.
