The mission of Hope Alliance of Missouri is to serve and empower those in our community impacted by lack of resources.
About This Cause
The vision of Hope Alliance of Missouri is to build a stronger community where all have the ability to overcome obstacles & achieve success. We are working towards this vision currently with two main programs which are entirely volunteer operated. Since it's creation in 2007, the Friday Backpack program has provided nutritious, child-friendly food to local children in food insecure homes so they would not go hungry over the weekend. This program aims to fill the gap where the government doesn't. Most of the children who receive food bags rely on the Free Breakfast and Lunch program during the school week, but they don't have that same support over the weekend. That is where our program comes in. Also, summer support has been available as well, with food bags provided to schools during summer school and at community locations for pickup. Currently, the program works through the Rolla Public Schools and provides an average of 400+ bags of food to local students each Friday of the school year.
