Mission Statement

Friends of Thomas Lowry Park provides support to the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board for the tender care of Thomas Lowry Park. FTLP provides funds for biannual plantings, volunteer gardening help, and other park needs.

About This Cause

Due to the age and condition of the concrete, the Seven Pools water feature in the park needs to be completely restructured. Current plans include the complete replacement of pool masonry, new underground plumbing, a new pump vault and a recirculating pump. Funds raised beyond cost of the Seven Pools restructuring ($250,000.) will be spent on improvements in Thomas Lowry Park.
