Mission Statement

Our mission is to provide a clean safe haven for the Bay Area Recovering community.

About This Cause

We are a 12-step meeting house that hosts Alcoholics Anonymous, Al-Anon, Narcotics Anonymous, Over Eaters Anonymous, Love Addicts Anonymous, Adult Children of Alcoholics Anonymous meetings. The first iteration of the Dry Dock was established in 1986 and served the community until 2000. At that time, a new company was formed, The Marina Dock, which served the recovering community until 12/2008. The current iteration, The Dry Dock in honor of the first, was established in December 2008 and continue today. We normally have over 70 meetings a week that are attended by the recovering community. We survived Covid-19. Now that we are open people are still reluctant to come to on-site meetings. We have married our on-site meetings with those on Zoom in a professional manner. Because of this, over 5,000 people per month come to us. Our voice against the substance abuse pandemic is vital to recovery. A person can spend thousands at rehabs, but what happens when they leave. They need a place to continue to work on their recovery one day at a time. The Dry Dock is just such a place. We are unique in the San Francisco area as we have meeting rooms and a social area. The social area is used by our attendees to network, work on sobriety and fellowship. This goes a long way to establishing the all important connections necessary to get help when it is needed for the recovering soul. We need your help to continue serving recovery. Your donation will go a long way into helping us continue our fight against the pandemic. Thank you.
