Mission Statement
Full Circle's mission is to provide comprehensive, professional grief support for children, adults, families, and communities in Central Virginia.
About This Cause
Full Circle is the only bereavement center of its kind in Central Virginia. All of our programs are led by professional counselors and are offered at NO COST to participants. Creative expression and long-term support are an integral part of the services we provide to individuals and families. Our services include groups facilitated by counselors and social workers that use a combination of arts, crafts, journaling, poetry, discussion, remembrance activities, and other therapeutic activities. We have groups for children (age 3-18) and their caregivers who are dealing with a death of someone significant to them. We also have loss specific groups provided for those dealing with a death of a loved one from suicide, the death of a baby due to a perinatal loss, and the death of a loved one from homicide. We facilitate our professional led grief counseling groups at our center in Henrico, VA and we partner with other local organization to take them into the community. Full Circle offers grief education and resources to our community through the "Conversations About Grief" educational series, a Bereavement Resource Manual (in print and online), an educational library, and organization trainings throughout our community. Full Circle's professionals are available to consult with individuals, schools, organizations, and corporations who have experienced a death. Our goal is to provide a compassionate place where children and adults... * find ongoing grief support * understand they are not alone * learn positive coping behaviors * build communication skills * discover meaningful ways to remember their loved ones * have access to a wide variety of bereavement resources "Healing from grief is not the process of forgetting, it is the process of remembering with less pain and more joy" -Author Unknown
