Mission Statement
Founder and CEO of Wild Heart Sanctuary is a retired Genentech Clinical Specialist. She worked in the Lyrics division for 18 years. Her vision for Wild Heart Sanctuary is to provide a forever home and safe haven for Wild Mustangs rescued from the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) roundups. Our primary work is educating the public about the plight of the horses in government captivity-many awaiting slaughter and helping to protect the small number of wild horses still running free, though sadly endangered and being managed to extinction. Your donation and support fully fund us. The Sanctuary is part of the 501(c)3 registered nonprofit Reinfree.org, DBA Wild Heart Sanctuary.
About This Cause
Sonya Richins, the founder of Wild Heart Sanctuary, is a true inspiration. Retiring from Genentech after 18 years of employment, she's now living her life's purpose as a wild horse advocate and being the voice for the voiceless. She lives in the mountains of Park City on several acres with several rescued wild mustangs, barn kitties, and Newt & Sootie (adopted dogs). Your support and donations will provide a forever home for the wild horses at Wild Heart Sanctuary, where they will be loved and respected for the rest of their lives. This support will ease our financial overheads so we can continue to help more wild horses and run our publicity and mass media campaign to save the wild horses of the USA. Wild Heart Sanctuary provides a space for people to experience the heart and wisdom of wild horses. Our unique programs, retreats, and individual sessions through the wisdom and teachings of the horse are designed to help you discover your true potential. We believe in dreams, potentials, and all that is possible for us as unique individuals. Wild Heart Sanctuary has been a 501(c)3 registered non-profit Reinfree.org for 15 years.
