About This Cause

LEMO Foundation is a 501(c)3 non-profit and center of excellence for underserved youth in the Bay Area. We envision a world where all young people, regardless of their backgrounds, have equal opportunities to realize their full potential. LEMO creates opportunities for young people to access the supports, resources, and experiences they need to thrive. Through a supportive campus and enrichment programs, we enable students to play, learn, and grow to their truest and most successful self. Our Approach: Sports: Sports are the entry point for many of the young people we support. We offer a world-class campus and athletic programs that enable student-athletes to perform at the highest levels. Education: By making learning fun, we inspire students to dream and achieve. We offer opportunities for real-world applications and access to industry leaders. Our educational programs foster curiosity, creativity, collaboration, and entrepreneurship. Our educational programming includes STEAM Camps & a Makerspace. Community: Success in school and in life is not just about the knowledge and skills, but also the attitudes and mindsets. We offer mentorship, community, and a safe, supportive environment that nurtures young people as full human beings, aligned to the LEMO philosophy, "Don't expect to accomplish your dreams if you're not willing to help others accomplish theirs." Scholarships and Financial Aid: Because opportunity is typically most limited for young people from low-income backgrounds, LEMO offers scholarships and financial aid. Impact & Reach: LEMO has served young people from over 100 schools across the Bay Area. LEMO students have earned over 450 collegiate scholarships. Four of our students have built their own start-ups, showcasing their professional and entrepreneurial prowess. Our programs provide opportunities that many of our students would not have access to otherwise, and that enrich their skills, leadership, confidence, and character. In 2022: - Coached, taught, mentored and supported over 2,800 students through sports, education and entrepreneurship - Provided over 1,500 students from low-income backgrounds with coaching and mentoring - Ran 12 programs focusing on sports, education and entrepreneurship
