Mission Statement

To provide people impacted by disabilities with a daily opportunity to be fit, active, healthy, and to play.

About This Cause

The Ability Center aims to build communities and public spaces where all abilities are provided a universal opportunity for health, wellness, and recreation. Through our programming we provide a higher quality of life for people to recreate and spend time TOGETHER! RampUp designs, builds and/or implements universally inclusive recreational opportunities and continues to empower those with disabilities in communities through accessibility. Adaptive Programs (Open Gym and 3v3 Wheelchair Basketball League) provide an opportunity for people of ALL abilities to play together by partnering with community-based nonprofits, parks, and recreation departments. Adaptive Scholastic Athletic Program (ASAP) hosts disability awareness assemblies and inclusive physical education classes in schools. We teach students, educators, and administrators by putting them in "a different pair of shoes". TAC Social provides an environment where youth with physical disabilities will learn to advocate for themselves, while creating lifelong friendships, ultimately developing into young adults with an increased sense of independence, confidence, and happiness
