About This Cause
Divine Mercy Human Development Foundation is a non-profit 501 (C)(3) organization providing charitable service to the economically disadvantaged. Programs include, among others, the following: (1) free tutorial program that aims to improve the English reading and comprehension skills and overall school performance of children and youth in California. Its goal is to assist the disadvantaged children and youth finish college education, get good-paying jobs and become productive members of the community; (2) life experience program that provides free educational workshops and field trips to expand low income children’s vision regarding education, career, or even lifestyle, and help them dream big and fulfill it with determination; (3) literacy program that aims to improve the English literacy level of non-English speaking ethnic sectors in Sacramento to ensure integration in the American community and an increased likelihood of finding good-paying jobs and becoming self-sufficient members of society.
