Mission Statement
We seek to empower participants, qualifying them for jobs that earn a living wage in the food service industry and helping to feed the community while doing so.
About This Cause
CCSNC, a WIOA and SNAP Employment Training Provider, offers job and life skills training to unemployed and underemployed adults with food prepared in classes donated to local food banks. The school is also the Congregate Meal Provider for the New Milford Senior Center and the Emergency Food Provider for the Town of New Milford. Participants gain valuable hands-on experience in the preparation and service of these meals as they help to address food insecurity in the community. These confidence-building skills enable them to enter onto a career path in the food service industry. CCSNC has a 96% job placement rate and 95% retention rate post six months graduation.
