Mission Statement
The mission of Dress for Success Phoenix is to empower women to achieve economic independence by providing a network of support, professional attire, and the development tools needed to help them thrive in work and in life.
About This Cause
Since opening our doors in 2009, Dress for Success (DFS) Phoenix has assisted more than 35,000 individuals throughout Arizona. We provide education, extensive job readiness, career training, industry upskilling, and reskilling to equip our participants with confidence that she carries forever, with the knowledge that she can actively define her life, the path she takes, and what success means to her. We provide these supports, not only to achieve our mission, but to see our vision become reality. Our vision is a world where women and girls do not live in poverty. We strive for a world where all women are financially independent, are treated with dignity and respect, and are directly impacting their lives and those of their families. We aspire to a world that fully harnesses the power of women and recognizes their role in economic sustainability. Dress for Success Phoenix designs and delivers programs to help individuals overcome challenges for every phase of their personal or professional journey. Dress for Success Phoenix is a full-service workforce development organization with more than seven distinct programs, including: Career Services provide clients with access to the resources, support, and education they need to excel in their career. Services are offered at our central location in Phoenix, at our Satellite Studios throughout Maricopa County, and through our Mobile Career Center. Fast Track to Career Success is a workshop that provides clients with one-on-one career coaching, mock interviewing, and networking in a supportive environment to help them gain more competitive professional skills, accelerate their job search, and build confidence. EducateHER helps women earn a credit-bearing certificate or degree, preparing them for successfully employment in growing fields that pay a sustainable wage and the opportunity to advance in their career through educational attainment. ElevateHER, our Professional Women’s Group, is a networking association for working women. Whether a woman has recently entered the workforce or is an emerging leader in her field, ElevateHER offers the leadership and professional development training, through regular workshop and speaker series, to see our participants thrive. ElevateHER provides the support, practical information, and inspiration to help women achieve self-defined success in their careers, and in life. Bank On Arizona is a statewide initiative dedicated to connecting unbanked and underbanked individuals with safe, affordable banking options, as well as providing financial education and coaching. HOPE for Success is designed to empower justice impacted women who are reintegrating into the community through workforce development and holistic supports. The Workforce Initiative (TWI) helps teens and young adults, ages 16–24, successfully enter the workforce through job readiness training and occupational attire.
