Mission Statement
Our mission is to provide living arrangements and related services to adults with intellectual disabilities in the STARS ministry of College Church in Wheaton, Illinois.
About This Cause
Home, work community. Everyday life with dignity. Peace of mind for parents. Interdependence and independence for members of the STARS disability community. Since we began in 2008 as a non-profit organization, STARS Family Services provides private community-based homes (supportive living arrangements) and related services for adults with developmental disabilities in Wheaton, IL. At present there are two homes for men and one for women. We focus on helping our residents in all areas of life skills such as cooking, cleaning, grocery shopping, interpersonal relationships, personal responsibilities, and self-care. Our residents continue to live in their familiar community, close to their family, friends, and church. All residents are involved in the STARS disability ministry of College Church. We strive to create a positive homelike atmosphere at each of our homes.
