Mission Statement
Siblings Forever nurtures the bonds between brothers and sisters affected by sibling separation by providing free camps, events and programs creating the opportunity to build forever memories rooted in sibling connections. The sibling relationship is most often the longest relationship throughout life; Siblings Forever builds on this foundation to bring continuity in family and community.
About This Cause
Who We Are Siblings Forever, formerly known as Camp To Belong-Georgia, is a local 501C3 nonprofit that has served children since 2008. With our expansion of programming, we have rebranded in 2024 as Siblings Forever. Who We Serve Siblings Forever supports family connections by serving siblings who are affected by sibling separation. The youth we serve come from a variety of backgrounds that include but are not limited to; foster care, post-adoption, kinship care, parental custody, and more. We primarily service youth ages 8-18. Our Programs Summer Camp Siblings Forever hosts a weeklong summer camp that is free for youth to attend with their separated siblings. This camp has specialized programming to support and strengthen sibling connections in a safe setting that creates lifelong memories. Our camp activities include: personalized Memory Books with photos from the week, Gifts from the Heart- crafts that siblings make for each other, Siblings Give Back- a service project done by siblings and our Party Night- a group birthday party celebration. Our camp is located at Camp Twin Lakes in Rutledge, GA— we provide transportation from bus-stops in the Atlanta area. Family Connections Events: As part of our expansion of programming as Siblings Forever, we now offer Family Connections. We continue to host separated brothers and sisters at our events, but our day and weekend events allow us to host separated siblings and their families. These events allow the families of separated siblings to connect- creating deeper bonds that will help them to keep those connections outside of our events. The first four events of the year will be held as day events. Foster, adoptive, biological parents and siblings have the chance to join in group events with other families, or in individual events that are held for just one sibling set. Siblings may attend without parents as well. Group events are held for multiple sets of siblings together. For individual events, each sibling set chooses the activity that they would like to do together and they are joined by volunteers and caregivers who choose to attend. We will have several events taking place on the same day and we can serve as many sibling sets as we have volunteers. First come, first serve!! Our final event of the year is our Family Holiday camp. Separated siblings and their families are invited to attend this special weekend camp as we celebrate the holidays together! Please visit our website to learn more about these events. How You Can Be Involved? Volunteer! The success of Siblings Forever is largely due to our counselors. It takes over 50+ volunteers to assist us in running our events. Counselors must be at least 19 years old and one year out of high school. Apply on our website to volunteer for our camps and events! Donate! www.siblingsforever.org/donate Follow us!
