About This Cause
OUR VISION We envision the day when all residents of our East Side community receive high-quality and preventive personal health care, regardless of income. As a result, we aim to facilitate a comprehensive transformation that enhances the overall well-being of our community. HISTORY The Hope Family Care Center, a community-based 501c3 organization, had its humble beginnings as a youth outreach program in eastern Kansas City in 1998. With a vision that encompasses the holistic development of the community, the HFCC Board embarked on a strategic planning process in early 2006. As part of this vision, HFCC saw a pressing need for accessible medical care in an area severely lacking in this service. In 2013, HFCC recognized the need to improve the structure and function of the current health center and decided to apply for Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC) Look-Alike status. HFCC successfully reached this goal in October 2015; bringing hope to the underserved community we were reaching out to. DONOR APPRECIATION Hope Family Care Center (HFCC) is grateful for our donors, who make it possible to improve the living conditions of those we reach out to. HFCC is a faith-based organization that provides affordable, high-quality care to the underprivileged in Kansas City. We employ a family practice model, meaning patients can quickly access care without waiting a month or more for treatment. The staff members at HFCC personally connect with our patients and get to know their individual medical needs. When patients call for help, we know how to address their individual needs. ”I was hungry and you gave me something to eat; I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me”…..”Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.” Matthew 25:35-40
