Mission Statement
Food for Thought by the Sea is a vehicle for change in Monmouth County, NJ. We are committed to helping the community and creating a positive environment that fosters knowledge, confidence, and optimism
About This Cause
For thirteen years, our organization has been a trusted resource to the local youth and the at-risk community at large through our grassroots and education-based initiatives focused on the culinary-arts and environmental awareness. Our hospitality and culinary-arts training program provides the local youth with hands-on industry experience from responsible product sourcing to food preparation to front-of-house operations for future career opportunities. In addition, we have taught free surfing lessons and art classes through our partnership with the Boys and Girls Club. Beyond our youth-empowerment programs, we proudly sponsor annual holiday dinners, free to all in need, serving 600-1000 guests every Thanksgiving, Christmas, and Easter. Through our non profit food truck we will partner with other organizations that are doing great things in our community to bring awareness and funding for their causes. This food truck will serve as a vehicle to teach culinary and hospitality skills while also helping other non-profits raise money and awareness for their cause.
