Mission Statement
The mission of Pendleton Children’s Center is to provide high-quality, affordable care for infants, toddlers and preschool aged children in a safe, nurturing, equitable and educational environment to strengthen families and enhance the economic vitality of Pendleton.
About This Cause
Pendleton Children’s Center is building a nonprofit child care center with the goal to expand to fill the serious need for child care in this area. Pendleton Children’s Center is funded by tuition, Oregon's Preschool Promise and ERDC programs, grants, donations, fundraisers and liaisons with local businesses. Our well-qualified staff has education and training in early childhood education and participates in ongoing training to provide a safe, supportive, nurturing and stable environment. Pendleton Children’s Center pays our staff fairly and provides health and retirement benefits in order to recruit and retain excellent employees. Once our capital projects to enlarge our center and increase our capacity are finished, we plan to seek accreditation from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC), which is a highly-regarded mark of quality for child care centers nationwide.
