Mission Statement

Tankokai Seattle Association is the Seattle chapter of Chado Urasenke Tankokai, which is the membership organization for the Urasenke Chado practitioners. Our mission is to promote better understanding and appreciation of the rich culture and spirits of Japan through the art of Chado, "the Way of Tea", commonly known in English as "Japanese Tea Ceremony".

About This Cause

Tankokai Seattle provides Way of Tea demonstrations and presentations at the Seattle Japanese Garden, Seattle Art Museum and other venues and also provide classes for High School Cultural Camp every spring.
