About This Cause
Many Hands is an Iowa-based nonprofit creating local and global life transformation. Established in 2008, the organization aims to ignite generosity, grow community, and take people on IMPACT journeys to carve a new, better path to life. Each year, the organization reaches at least 25,000 people through its operations in the Caribbean, IMPACT Trips serving in Abaco, Bahamas, and Many Hands Thrift Markets located in Iowa. We ignite generosity through world-class thrift stores, providing communities with high-quality, second-hand items at low prices. These stores serve over 100,000 people each year and provide unique shopper, donor, and volunteer opportunities. Learn more through our website at https://www.manyhandsthrift.com/. We grow community through our Love in Action roadmap, championing parents to provide for their families. This is accomplished through geographical saturation in six different areas: education, leadership development, agriculture, safe homes, medical assistance, and economic development. Our flagship program is our First 1,000 Days, walking with pregnant mothers, newborn mothers, and newborn children through holistic nutrition and educational programs to prevent childhood stunting and death.
